You're taking your calcium. You're getting your Vitamin D. You're walking regularly. But walking isn't enough.
Your bones need something more, something intense enough to trigger actual bone growth. And here's what nobody tells you: Your bones are like bored toddlers.
They need stimulation, not just movement.

They're not like the skeleton in your doctor's office, static and unchanging. Your bones are constantly rebuilding themselves, every single day.
But here's the thing: Your bones only rebuild when they get a signal that they NEED to be strong.
Think of it like this:
Imagine you have a friend who only calls when they need help moving furniture. After a while, you'd start staying in shape just in case they called, right?
Your bones work the same way. When they experience a quick, sharp force—like your foot hitting the ground when you jump or stomp—they think: "Oh! We need to be strong enough to handle this. Better build more bone."
That quick force is called Impact.
What Impact Does...
When your foot hits the ground:
The ground pushes back (this is called "ground reaction force")
That force travels up through your bones
Your bone cells feel that compression
They respond by building NEW bone cells
It's like giving your bones a wake-up call: "Hey! We need you! Get stronger!"
Why This Matters, No Matter Your Diagnosis
If you have osteoporosis or osteopenia: Your bones have lost density, but they haven't lost the ABILITY to build. Impact gives them the signal to start building again.
If your bones are currently healthy: Impact helps you KEEP them that way as you age.
Prevention is powerful.
If you're somewhere in between: Impact helps you move in the right direction
on your next DEXA scan.
Maybe you've heard you should be jumping. Maybe you've even tried.
A few years ago, I got news that changed everything. After teaching people with osteoporosis for over 20 years, I was diagnosed with osteoporosis myself.
I won't lie, those first few weeks were challenging.
I'm a movement teacher. My body is my work. And suddenly, I was on the other side, hearing words like "fragility" and "fracture risk" and wondering what this meant for my future.
But after the initial shock wore off, something shifted.
I got determined.
I realized that everything I'd been teaching needed to meet a new standard: Would I do this myself? Would I trust this with my own bones?
So I took everything I'd learned in over 20 years of teaching Pilates and therapeutic movement, combined it with my training as a Restorative Exercise Specialist (certified with Katy Bowman and the Nutritious Movement Institute), added in my fascination with biomechanics (including participating in two fascial dissections with Tom Myers of Anatomy Trains, yes, really, and it makes for excellent cocktail party conversation), and I rebuilt my approach from the ground up.
I bring you not only my years of therapeutic movement work, but also my lived experience.

I believe movement should be:
I combine detailed alignment and biomechanics with fluid, intuitive movement.
Because how our brains and bodies get together makes ALL the difference in how we feel.
And here's what I've learned about Impact specifically: Your bones don't need you to be perfect. They don't need you to do everything.
They need brief, strategic moments of compression, customized to YOUR body, YOUR limitations, YOUR life.

Nope! My work serves everyone. But if you DO have a diagnosis, or if you're concerned about your bone health, this is a safe place for you to move and move well.
I've created IMPACT Your Bones with my community in mind—real people with real bodies and real limitations.
People like me. People like you.
Because you deserve guidance from someone who's walking this path with you, not just talking about it.
Your bones respond to three things:
Here's your simple 3-step process:
Step 1: Learn the Science
Understand exactly HOW and WHY impact exercise triggers bone growth (osteogenesis) so you're never guessing again.
Step 2: Start Where YOU Are
Progress through exercises tailored to YOUR body—whether you have knee issues, pelvic floor concerns, or you're just starting out. We start with the lowest demand exercises and build up.
Step 3: Integrate Into Your Life
Spread impacts throughout your day: Heel drops when you turn your computer on. Stomps while brushing teeth. Quick jumps before getting in the car.
No gym. No special time blocks. Just strategic moments that add up. Or fit Impact efficiently into your workout, if that’s what you prefer!
Something better than nothing. Always.
